Due to the weather forecast (extreme heat) the location for this weekend's picnic has been moved to the air conditioned Fellowship Hall at Noland United Methodist Church. Thank you to the church for accommodating us on short notice. Thanks also to Riverside Baptist for originally agreeing to host us.

Huntington Heights Residents and Neighbors met with the shipyard and city officials to discuss landscaping and future parking lot construction in the neighborhood on May 14, 2009. Many details emerged out of the meeting regarding the Shipyard's plans to construct a 770 space parking lot between 51st and 56th Street. This parking lot will open on June 1st and will be open to Navy personnel. The Navy will enter the parking lot via 50th Street and exit via 57th Street. The Shipyard plans to create a nicer green space between 50 and 57th Street along Warwick Boulevard to improve the overall look of the area with the new parking lot.
